You might ask… What is “deputation?” After serving on the field for two, three, or four years, missionaries are given “home assignment,” and are encouraged to share with others what God is doing in their lives and in the places where they serve. During this “home assignment” time, churches and districts often host deputation services. Through deputation, your local church will hear first-hand accounts from the frontlines of mission service. Your missionaries will inform you and elevate mission awareness, sharing how your prayer and financial support have empowered and met challenges of ministry. Deputation brings the world to your local church. You will feel connected to the places where the Church of the Nazarene is ministering. Your local church will see the results of its efforts to reach the world. |
